Recently, I haven't been able to update anything here. I've been busy with my work and currently involve into event/gigs and been covering some for the past couple of months. And I have to say, I'm really enjoying it. Especially for the Filipino Metal scene. My first passion was really music and even before I've been into photography, I used to play guitars/bass for different hardcore/metal bands when I was in college, but I had to release myself doing music and be focused on getting a job. I've been out of the scene for quite some time. So for me getting engaged again with the scene is kinda like a reconciliation because I've always been a metalhead.
Last June 2009, Filipno Metal launched the very first Filipino Metal Magazine. It was a success. How? Let me tell you how lol. All of the staff of the magazine did this without ever profiting from it. They all had normal day jobs but still managed to build a magazine for the filipino metal scene. They did this because they wanted to help the scene, they wanted to let the people know that metal is alive in the philippines, even way way before. I wasn't able to join the crew during the first issue but on the 2nd edition (will be launch at mid October me thinks) some photos that I've took during the underground gigs will be included *hooorrahh for me*. This would be the first time that my photos will be printed (literally, even some of my landscape shots hasn't been printed yet in any way hahahaha).

Also, this couple of months, I've been saving some money so that I could buy an UWA lens(Ultra wide angle). Up to now I still haven't figure it out what UWA lens should I score. I have three options, the 10-20mm Sigma, 11-16 F2.8 Tokina, and the canon 10-22mm. Okay lets start off with the 10-20mm Sigma. Its the cheapest of the three, but the heaviest. The 11-16 tokina middles the price between the three and has the widest aperture opening of 2.8, having it 11-16mm limits the user some zoom and wider range(a 1 mm difference is alot for me lol). And lastly we have the 10-22mm canon,it has the ultra wide range of 10mm and has the longest range of 22mm, BUT, its the priciest of the three. So now, I'm kinda stuck on what should I buy, and I'm kinda short in budget so I'm leaning on the sigma, but having a 2.8 aperture of tokina also makes a good lens for low light conditions such as gigs and events which I am currently involved, but the canon has the longest range of em all but I dont think that I would go for its price. Some say that the canon has the sharpest IQ of the three, but I dont really rely on that, what is Important to me is the reliability and the price. Damn, only if were rich I would buy all of em, thats just too bad for me lol.
That's about it for now, hmmm why in the hell am I writing this journal, no one would ever read this anyway hahahahaha lol
